Struct checkers::Allocator

source ·
pub struct Allocator<T = System> { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Allocator that needs to be installed.

Delegates allocations to std::alloc::System (this might be configurable in the future).

You install it by doing:

#[global_allocator]
static ALLOCATOR: checkers::Allocator = checkers::Allocator::system();

Implementations§

source§

impl<T> Allocator<T>

source

pub const fn new(delegate: T) -> Allocator<T>

Construct an allocator with a custom delegate global allocator.

Examples
#[global_allocator]
static ALLOCATOR: checkers::Allocator = checkers::Allocator::new(std::alloc::System);
source§

impl Allocator<System>

source

pub const fn system() -> Allocator<System>

Construct an allocator with the system delegate global allocator.

Examples
#[global_allocator]
static ALLOCATOR: checkers::Allocator = checkers::Allocator::system();

Trait Implementations§

impl<T> GlobalAlloc for Allocator<T>where T: GlobalAlloc,

source§

unsafe fn alloc(&self, layout: Layout) -> *mut u8

Allocate memory as described by the given layout. Read more
source§

unsafe fn dealloc(&self, ptr: *mut u8, layout: Layout)

Deallocate the block of memory at the given ptr pointer with the given layout. Read more
source§

unsafe fn alloc_zeroed(&self, layout: Layout) -> *mut u8

Behaves like alloc, but also ensures that the contents are set to zero before being returned. Read more
source§

unsafe fn realloc( &self, ptr: *mut u8, layout: Layout, new_size: usize ) -> *mut u8

Shrink or grow a block of memory to the given new_size in bytes. The block is described by the given ptr pointer and layout. Read more
