Configuration options for OoP gear bootstrap
Fields§
§gear_name: StringLogical gear name (e.g., “file-parser”)
This is the directory registration name, and since roles it is not
always the gear’s own id. A role-split gear registers under its role’s
directory name – event-broker-ingest for the cluster_ingest mode –
while its configuration still lives under the gear id the
#[toolkit::gear(name = ...)] attribute declares, because that is the
key GearCtx::config() looks up. See Self::config_gear_name.
config_gear_name: Option<String>The gears.<key> section this process’s configuration lives under.
None means the same as Self::gear_name, which is the answer for
every gear that runs in one undifferentiated shape – so no existing
caller changes behaviour.
It exists because gear_name was doing two jobs that used to be one
string. The registry names a gear by its attribute, and
GearCtx::config() reads gears.<that name>.config; a role changes the
name the instance registers under and not the name it reads under.
With the two conflated, a worker started as a role filed the master’s
rendered blob under gears["event-broker-ingest"] while the gear read
gears["event-broker"], so TOOLKIT_MODULE_CONFIG was inert under any
role and only the local --config file had any effect. Nothing failed;
the override simply did not arrive.
instance_id: Option<Uuid>Instance ID (defaults to a random UUID if None)
directory_endpoint: StringDirectory service gRPC endpoint (e.g., “http://127.0.0.1:50051”)
config_path: Option<PathBuf>Path to configuration file
verbose: u8Log verbosity level (0=default, 1=debug, 2=trace)
print_config: boolPrint effective configuration and exit
heartbeat_interval_secs: u64Heartbeat interval in seconds (default: 5)
version: Option<String>Gear version (used for DirectoryService registration and OpenAPI version).
Defaults to None.
Implementations§
Source§impl OopRunOptions
impl OopRunOptions
Sourcepub fn config_gear_name(&self) -> &str
pub fn config_gear_name(&self) -> &str
The gears.<key> section to read configuration from.
Self::config_gear_name when set, and Self::gear_name otherwise –
so a caller that does not know about roles keeps exactly the behaviour it
had.

Source§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};

fn bg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the background set to

This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like on_red() and
on_green(), which have the same functionality but
are pithier.
§Example
Set background color to red using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};

fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr():
use yansi::{Paint, Attribute};
painted.attr(Attribute::Bold);Make text bold using using bold().

fn rapid_blink(&self) -> Painted<&T>
Source§fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the yansi Quirk value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use quirk-specific
builder methods like mask() and
wrap(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);Enable wrapping using wrap().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();Source§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>

Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);Source§impl<T> PolicyExt for Twhere
