Information for registering a new gear instance
Fields (Non-exhaustive)§
This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.gear: StringGear name
instance_id: StringUnique instance identifier
grpc_services: Vec<(String, ServiceEndpoint)>Published gRPC services as (service name, endpoint) pairs (service
names are unique per instance; ordered to mirror the proto repeated
field rather than reordered into a map).
version: Option<String>Optional version string
rest_endpoint: Option<ServiceEndpoint>Optional REST endpoint (HTTP base URL) exposed by the gear.
openapi_spec: Option<String>Optional OpenAPI spec (JSON) published by the gear.
labels: BTreeMap<String, String>Stable addressing labels for this instance (k8s matchLabels style).
Implementations§
Source§impl RegisterInstanceInfo
impl RegisterInstanceInfo
Sourcepub fn new(
gear: impl Into<String>,
instance_id: impl Into<String>,
) -> RegisterInstanceInfo
pub fn new( gear: impl Into<String>, instance_id: impl Into<String>, ) -> RegisterInstanceInfo
Start a registration for gear / instance_id with no endpoints,
version, spec, or labels. Chain the with_* builders to populate it.
Sourcepub fn with_grpc_services(
self,
grpc_services: Vec<(String, ServiceEndpoint)>,
) -> RegisterInstanceInfo
pub fn with_grpc_services( self, grpc_services: Vec<(String, ServiceEndpoint)>, ) -> RegisterInstanceInfo
Set the published gRPC services.
Sourcepub fn with_version(self, version: impl Into<String>) -> RegisterInstanceInfo
pub fn with_version(self, version: impl Into<String>) -> RegisterInstanceInfo
Set the version string.
Sourcepub fn with_rest_endpoint(
self,
rest_endpoint: ServiceEndpoint,
) -> RegisterInstanceInfo
pub fn with_rest_endpoint( self, rest_endpoint: ServiceEndpoint, ) -> RegisterInstanceInfo
Set the REST endpoint (HTTP base URL).
Sourcepub fn with_openapi_spec(
self,
openapi_spec: impl Into<String>,
) -> RegisterInstanceInfo
pub fn with_openapi_spec( self, openapi_spec: impl Into<String>, ) -> RegisterInstanceInfo
Set the published OpenAPI spec (JSON).
Sourcepub fn with_labels(
self,
labels: BTreeMap<String, String>,
) -> RegisterInstanceInfo
pub fn with_labels( self, labels: BTreeMap<String, String>, ) -> RegisterInstanceInfo
Set the stable addressing labels.
Re-registration replaces the directory entry wholesale, but an empty
label set is treated as “preserve the stored labels”, not “clear them”
(see GearManager::with_metadata_of): the periodic self-heal and REST
augmentation re-register without labels and must not erase a shard’s
identity. A non-empty set replaces the stored one. Clearing labels
outright is therefore intentionally not expressible — an instance’s
labels are its static shard/peer identity for its lifetime; changing
them means restarting with new configuration.

Source§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};
painted.fg(Color::White);Set foreground color to white using white().

fn bg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the background set to

This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like on_red() and
on_green(), which have the same functionality but
are pithier.
§Example
Set background color to red using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};

Source§fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr():
use yansi::{Paint, Attribute};
painted.attr(Attribute::Bold);Make text bold using using bold().

painted.bold();Source§fn rapid_blink(&self) -> Painted<&T>
fn rapid_blink(&self) -> Painted<&T>
Source§fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the yansi Quirk value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use quirk-specific
builder methods like mask() and
wrap(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);Enable wrapping using wrap().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();Source§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);Source§impl<T> PolicyExt for Twhere
