State through which one process kernel exchanges control with the runtime.

A process kernel is a resumable function. On entry it reads resume to find where it stopped; before returning it stores the next resume point, a ProcessStatus code in status and, for a delay, the number of time units in delay. All three are ordinary two-state state objects, so checkpoints capture a suspended process.
