Expand description

Knobs for vhs_restore. Defaults match the measured tape chain.

Fields§

§alpha: f32

Spectral-subtraction over-subtraction factor (1 = gentle, 6 = aggressive).

Default 2.0. Alpha 3 with coherent subtraction gates pauses to near-silence.

§beta: f32

Spectral floor as a fraction of the input magnitude.

§dewind_cutoff: f32

High-pass cutoff for rumble / wind (Hz).

§harmonics: usize

How many mains harmonics to evaluate (each is gated on standing out).

§deess_threshold: f32

Multiband de-ess threshold: dB above each band’s running average.

Typical values are 3–6. This is not the single-band deesser HF/broadband-ratio default (−24); that value compresses every frame and takes down the whole region above 4 kHz.

§normalize_lufs: Option<f32>

Optional EBU R128 target (LUFS). None leaves loudness alone.
