Expand description

A Daml type — a primitive, a container, or a reference to a named data type.

This is the type a record field, choice argument, or contract key can take.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Unit

The Unit type ().

§

Bool

Bool.

§

Int64

Int64.

§

Numeric(u8)

Numeric n — a fixed-scale decimal; the value is the scale (decimals).

§

Text

Text.

§

Timestamp

Timestamp (microseconds since the Unix epoch, UTC).

§

Date

Date (days since the Unix epoch).

§

Party

Party.

§

ContractId(Box<DamlType>)

ContractId t — a handle to a contract of the referenced payload type.

§

List(Box<DamlType>)

List t / [t].

§

Optional(Box<DamlType>)

Optional t.

§

TextMap(Box<DamlType>)

TextMap t — a map keyed by Text.

§

GenMap(Box<DamlType>, Box<DamlType>)

GenMap k v — a map with arbitrary key type.

§

Ref(TypeRef)

A reference to a named data type (record / variant / enum).

§

Var(String)

A type parameter (a, b, …) inside a generic data type.

§

Boxed(Box<DamlType>)

A type behind a Box, used to give recursive types the indirection Rust requires (Daml allows a type to contain itself directly; Rust does not).
