Classification of a language-expression evaluation failure.

Matchable class attached to CamelError::ExpressionFailed so route-level error handlers can discriminate failure kinds programmatically without parsing message text. Variants carry no data — diagnostics that need detail live on the ExpressionFailed variant itself.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

Runtime

Evaluation failed at runtime (engine error not covered by a finer class).

Arithmetic

Arithmetic failure (overflow, division by zero, NaN rejection, …).

TypeMismatch

Value type does not match the expected type.

FunctionNotFound

Referenced function is not registered with the language engine.

Limit

A configured evaluation limit was exceeded.

Timeout

Evaluation exceeded its time budget.

Conversion

The result could not be converted to the declared destination type.

Parse

The expression source could not be parsed.
