pub struct RetentionConfig {
pub sweep_enabled: bool,
pub sweep_run_at_utc_hour: u8,
pub sweep_batch_size: i64,
}Expand description
Sweep-execution policy for the subscribeLabels retention sweep (§F4
retention task). Distinct from SubscribeConfig::retention_days —
that field is the cutoff source of truth (read-side floor + write-
side cutoff); this struct holds how the sweep runs, not when
the cutoff lies. Operators tune the two independently:
[subscribe].retention_days(logical owner:SubscribeConfig) sets the rolling window (“180 days back”).[retention](logical owner: this struct) sets sweep schedule and batching (“run at 04:00 UTC, 1000 rows per transaction”).
Defaults match §F4 prose: sweep enabled, runs daily at 04:00 UTC, 1000-row batches.
Fields§
§sweep_enabled: boolMaster toggle for the scheduled sweep. When false, no
scheduled sweep runs; the manual CLI / admin-XRPC path still
works (operators retain explicit control). Default true.
sweep_run_at_utc_hour: u8UTC hour-of-day (0..=23) at which the scheduled sweep fires. Default 4 (04:00 UTC — quiet hour for most operator regions, matches §F4 example).
sweep_batch_size: i64Rows per DELETE transaction. Larger batches are throughput-
efficient but hold the writer for longer; smaller batches let
normal label writes interleave with finer granularity. Default
1000. Distinct from SubscribeConfig::batch_size (replay
batching is latency-sensitive, sweep batching is throughput-
sensitive — tune independently).

Source§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};

builder methods like on_red() and
on_green(), which have the same functionality but
are pithier.
§Example

fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr():

fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the yansi Quirk value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use quirk-specific
builder methods like mask() and
wrap(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);Enable wrapping using wrap().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();Source§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>

The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);
