TargetRefusalKind

Enum TargetRefusalKind

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum TargetRefusalKind { UnknownExplicit { requested: TargetToken, }, ExplicitUnavailable { target: DialectId, requested: TargetToken, reason: String, }, InheritedUnavailable { source: DialectId, reason: String, }, UnrecordedSource, NoDefault { source: DefaultSource, }, DefaultUnavailable { target: DialectId, source: DefaultSource, reason: String, }, }
Expand description

One target-refusal reason, independent of the catalog presented with it.

Each request state is distinct. In particular, absence of an explicit token does not conflate an unclassified same-format source with a foreign source and a missing cross-format default.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

UnknownExplicit

An explicit token names no entry in the encoder catalog.

Fields

§requested: TargetToken

Token supplied by the caller, retained verbatim.

§

ExplicitUnavailable

A catalog target was selected explicitly but this input cannot reach it.

Fields

§target: DialectId

Canonical catalog target selected by the token.

§requested: TargetToken

Token supplied by the caller, retained verbatim.

§reason: String

Input-conditioned reason the writer cannot deliver the target.

§

InheritedUnavailable

Same-format inheritance selected a source dialect the writer cannot preserve.

Fields

§source: DialectId

Recorded source dialect selected by inheritance.

§reason: String

Input-conditioned reason the writer cannot preserve it.

§

UnrecordedSource

Same-format inheritance found source metadata without a dialect.

§

NoDefault

Inheritance had no same-format source and the catalog declares no default.

Fields

§source: DefaultSource

Why no same-format source identity was available to inherit.

§

DefaultUnavailable

A cross-format default was selected but this input cannot reach it.

Fields

§target: DialectId

Canonical catalog default.

§source: DefaultSource

Why the catalog default, rather than source inheritance, was selected.

§reason: String

Input-conditioned reason the writer cannot deliver the target.
