(De)serialisation failures.

These variants are used when deserialisation fails. Serialisations are assumed infallible.

Variants§

§

ArrayTooShort

An array could not hold the requested amount of elements.

Fields

§req: usize
§len: usize
§

BadString

A string encountered an invalid UTF-8 sequence.

Fields

§source: Utf8Error
§

CustomError

Available on crate feature alloc only.

An implementor-defined error.

This is mainly useful if none of the predefined errors are appropriate.

Fields

§source: Box<dyn Error>
§

EndOfStream

Bytes were requested on an empty stream.

Fields

§req: usize
§rem: usize
§

InvalidBoolean

A boolean encountered a value outside 0 and 1.

Fields

§value: u8
§

InvalidCodePoint

An invalid code point was encountered.

This includes surrogate points in the inclusive range U+D800 to U+DFFF, as well as values larger than U+10FFFF.

Fields

§value: u32
§

InvalidDiscriminant

An invalid enumeration descriminant was provided.

Fields

§value: u32
§

IsizeOutOfRange

An isize value couldn’t fit into 16 bits.

Fields

§value: isize
§

NullInteger

A non-zero integer encountered the value 0.

§

UsizeOutOfRange

A usize value couldn’t fit into 16 bits.

Fields

§value: usize
