Expand description

What an operand is: the type of one Inst field.

Modifier kinds (is_modifier) print as a mnemonic suffix (iadd.i64.wrap); the others print as operands.

§Examples

use bytecode_lang::FieldKind;

assert!(FieldKind::IntOp.is_modifier());
assert!(!FieldKind::Reg.is_modifier());
assert_eq!(FieldKind::Target.bits(), 32);

Implementations§

Source§

impl FieldKind

Source

pub const fn is_modifier(self) -> bool

Whether the field is a modifier (printed as a mnemonic suffix).

§Examples
use bytecode_lang::FieldKind;

assert!(FieldKind::Kind.is_modifier());
assert!(!FieldKind::Count.is_modifier());
Source

pub const fn bits(self) -> u32

The field’s width in bits, which is also the width of the slot it must occupy.

§Examples
use bytecode_lang::FieldKind;

assert_eq!(FieldKind::Reg.bits(), 16);
assert_eq!(FieldKind::Policy.bits(), 8);
