PhysicalDevice

Struct PhysicalDevice

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub struct PhysicalDevice { pub pci_address: Option<PciAddress>, pub luid: Option<AdapterLuid>, pub registry_entry_id: Option<RegistryEntryId>, pub vendor: Option<PciVendor>, }
Available on crate feature cubecl only.
Expand description

The card a device runs on. Two runtimes report different fields for one card, so compare with is_same_card, not ==.

Fields (Non-exhaustive)§

This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.
§pci_address: Option<PciAddress>

The key every runtime reports alike on Linux.

§luid: Option<AdapterLuid>

The key every runtime reports alike on Windows.

§registry_entry_id: Option<RegistryEntryId>

The key every runtime reports alike on macOS.

§vendor: Option<PciVendor>

Implementations§

Source§

impl PhysicalDevice

Source

pub fn is_same_card(&self, other: &PhysicalDevice) -> bool

Whether other is known to be this card through another runtime: by PCI address, otherwise by LUID, otherwise by registry entry id. A card with none of them matches nothing, itself included, since two such cards of one make compare equal.

Source

pub fn fill_from(&mut self, other: &PhysicalDevice)

Takes what this runtime left out from other, the same card seen through another runtime.
