Expand description

The Form 8283 (Rev. 12-2025) field map for one tax year.

Fields§

§form: String

"f8283".

§year: i32

Tax year.

§identity: Option<IdentityCells>

The FILER’s identity — “Name(s) shown on your income tax return” + identifying number. Option because the crypto slice never writes it (its 8283 rides beside a return btctax did not produce) and the 2017/2025 maps have no verified FQNs; the FULL-return filler refuses on None.

§section_a: Section8283A

Section A (≤ $5,000).

§section_b: Section8283B

Section B (> $5,000).

Implementations§

Source

pub fn for_year(year: i32) -> Result<Self, FormsError>

The map for a supported tax year.

Source

pub fn field_names(&self) -> Vec<&str>

Every field name the map targets (for the map_YYYY_matches_bundled_pdf_fieldset guard).
