CompactError

Enum CompactError

Source
pub enum CompactError {
    UnknownVersion(u8),
    Truncated,
    TrailingBytes,
    Malformed(&'static str),
    Evidence(CheckError),
}
Expand description

Bytes State::from_compact refuses. A refusal restores nothing; the host re-tracks the transaction.

Variants§

§

UnknownVersion(u8)

The version byte is not one this crate reads.

§

Truncated

The bytes end inside a field.

§

TrailingBytes

Bytes remain after the last field.

§

Malformed(&'static str)

A tag, flag, varint, id or string the encoder never writes.

§

Evidence(CheckError)

The stored proof record does not hold together: its path does not reduce, it names another transaction, or its root differs from its header’s. Nothing here consults the host’s headers.
