pub enum WalkBreachPolicy {
NotNow,
NetworkAccepted,
}Expand description
What a submit does when its own script walk could not run within the
engine’s DoorBudget (bsv-low #592; the E592 lens fold, H1, the owner’s
ruling 3a read with the lens): a breach is NEVER an admission without the
network’s word on record.
The work limb is a static estimate from the bytes, and a LOCK can be made
to pass it cheaply (a bare OP_CHECKMULTISIG in a fabricated parent’s
lock is charged 3,971 keys). So a breach says nothing about whether the
spend is valid, and on a path where nothing else judges it an admission
would admit a spend nobody checked: the lens’s forged spend of a held coin.
Variants§
NotNow
“Not now” (EngineError::WalkCouldNotRun): nothing judged, nothing
written, never a final refusal. Every door but one: the ungated
modes, /admin/readmit, the peer crawler, a library consumer’s
submit; the GASP anchor HOLDS its UTXO the same way.
NetworkAccepted
The network’s ACCEPT of these bytes is on record (the queue’s replay
of a gated submission, whose producer broadcast them and marked the
message): the submit goes on exactly as under HistoricalTxNoSpv,
reported on MutationReport::walk_could_not_run. The roots the walk
reached are still checked, and a bad one is still the SpvError it is.
