One message of an indexed transcript, reduced to what a search preview shows: the text around the query’s matches, with the matches located in it.

Fields

role: String

user, assistant or tool.

text: String

The message text, redacted, and windowed to the caller’s per-message budget when the message is longer than that.

hits: Vec<(usize, usize)>

Byte ranges of the matches inside text, on character boundaries, in order. A context message has none.

omitted_before: usize

Messages between the previous block and this one that no group covered. Non-zero only on the first block of a group.

truncated: bool

text is a window of the message rather than the whole of it.
