Define

Enum Define

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum Define { Name { name: String, value: String, extra_attrs: Vec<(String, String)>, }, Import { name: String, extra_attrs: Vec<(String, String)>, }, QueryParam { name: String, extra_attrs: Vec<(String, String)>, }, }
Expand description

A single #EXT-X-DEFINE variable declaration (RFC 8216bis §4.4.2.3). Unlike every other §4.4.2 tag, EXT-X-DEFINE MAY appear more than once per Playlist, so it is carried as a Vec on both MediaPlaylist and MasterPlaylist rather than a single field.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Name

NAME/VALUE form — declares a Variable with a literal value.

Fields

§name: String

The Variable Name ([a-zA-Z0-9_-] per spec).

§value: String

The Variable Value (MAY be empty).

§extra_attrs: Vec<(String, String)>

Unmodeled attributes, retained so REQ- prefixed names can fire RFC 8216bis §8 row 12. Sorted by name on parse (deterministic).

§

Import

IMPORT form — imports a Variable of the same name from the parent Multivariant Playlist. The spec says this MUST NOT occur in a MasterPlaylist (Multivariant Playlist) — only in a MediaPlaylist loaded from one — but that is a cross-file constraint this single-playlist parser cannot check, so it is not enforced here (see the module docs on this crate’s general MUST-constraint leniency).

Fields

§name: String

The imported Variable Name.

§extra_attrs: Vec<(String, String)>

Unmodeled attributes, retained so REQ- prefixed names can fire RFC 8216bis §8 row 12. Sorted by name on parse (deterministic).

§

QueryParam

QUERYPARAM form — imports a Variable from the query parameter of the same name in the Playlist’s own URI.

Fields

§name: String

The Variable Name / query parameter name.

§extra_attrs: Vec<(String, String)>

Unmodeled attributes, retained so REQ- prefixed names can fire RFC 8216bis §8 row 12. Sorted by name on parse (deterministic).
