Per-stage observability for one REASON, surfaced on the final frame when the request opted in with trace = true. trace = true means full detail — there is no separate knob — so every field below is populated whenever this struct is present at all. Mirrors RecallTrace’s per-stage-detail precedent, applied to the outward evidence walk instead of the retriever fan-out.

Fields

base: ReasonTraceBase

The full HNSW hit set the base observation resolved to, not just the subset that seeded the walk.

walk: ReasonTraceWalk

Everything the outward evidence walk touched: considered edges and every prune reason, one bucket per prune point.

scoring: Vec<ReasonTraceScoreBreakdown>

Un-collapsed score components for every surviving evidence item.

centroid: ReasonTraceCentroid

Whether topic-alignment centroid computation ran, and why not when it didn’t.
