The outcome of a check.

Deliberately three-valued. A two-valued verdict forces “we could not tell” into either Pass (unsafe) or Fail (blocks legitimate work), and the unsafe choice is the tempting one.

Variants

Pass

The check succeeded. This is the only verdict that may commit.

Fail(String)

The check failed, with a reason the repair loop can act on.

Inconclusive(String)

The check could not reach a conclusion — a timeout, a crashed tool, an unsupported input. Never commits.
