pub enum ConfigFormat {
Ron,
Json,
}Expand description
The wire format an operator-authored config file is decoded as (v0.6.5).
Config files are historically RON. JSON was added as a second input format
purely for interop — so a config can be generated from Nickel (nickel export →
JSON) and fed to boatramp unchanged. It is an alternative decoder into the
same typed structs (they all derive serde Deserialize with externally-tagged
enums + deny_unknown_fields), so JSON preserves every variant name and the same
strictness — no type changes, and the same downstream validation runs either way.
Variants§
Ron
RON (the historical, default format). Selected for every non-.json
extension (.cfg / .ron / none).
Json
JSON — for configs generated from Nickel (nickel export) or any JSON
pipeline. Selected for a .json (case-insensitive) extension.
