DbRestartPolicy

Enum DbRestartPolicy

Source
pub enum DbRestartPolicy {
    Manual,
    Auto,
}
Expand description

Re-export: the readiness-gate value types live in boatramp-types (shared between the manifest ApplyDatabase and this serving config), surfaced here for the ExternalDatabaseConfig::readiness_gate field. How a managed-DB config change that only takes effect at server start is applied (e.g. toggling delta_capture, which flips wal_level/binlog in the launch argv and so remints the content-addressed spec). The change is always STAGED by rolling the workload’s active spec; this policy decides whether the DB is also restarted to adopt it NOW.

Variants§

§

Manual

Stage the change and mark the DB “restart pending” — the operator restarts it explicitly (boatramp db restart) at a chosen time. The safe default: a managed DB holds production data, so never cause surprise downtime on a config re-apply.

§

Auto

Apply the change and restart the DB immediately so it takes effect at once (brief downtime while the container relaunches onto the reattached data volume).
