A structural, trust, policy, or cryptographic access failure.

Variants§

§

Truncated

The input ended before the object did.

§

TrailingBytes

The object has bytes after its canonical end.

§

UnsupportedVersion(u16)

The object uses an unsupported version.

§

WrongObjectType

The encoded object tag does not match the requested type.

§

InvalidIdentifier

An identifier is empty or exceeds the configured bound.

§

InvalidUtf8

An encoded identifier is not UTF-8.

§

LengthLimit(usize)

A length exceeds the configured bound.

§

InvalidEpoch

An epoch or monotonic revision is zero or otherwise invalid.

§

InvalidKeyIdentity

A key does not match its domain-separated identifier or is unusable.

§

NonCanonicalEncoding

Re-encoding did not reproduce the original bytes.

§

DuplicateRule

A capability kind/name pair appears more than once.

§

InvalidSignature

A signature is malformed or does not verify.

§

UntrustedIssuer

The object was not issued by the caller’s pinned issuer.

§

SubjectMismatch

The object belongs to a different tenant, subject, or scope.

§

NotYetValid

The signed object is not active yet.

§

Expired

The signed object has expired.

§

StaleRevision

A monotonic policy or revocation revision is below the required floor.

§

Revoked

An authorization or key epoch has been revoked.

§

InvalidPermissions

A grant contains no permissions or unknown permission bits.

§

CryptographicFailure

HPKE sealing or opening failed without exposing a decryption oracle.
