Expand description

A failure while discovering, opening, or probing a native device.

Variants§

§

NotCompiled(DeviceType)

Support for the requested device type is disabled in this build.

Tuple Fields

§0: DeviceType

The requested device type.

§

MissingDeviceId(&'static str)

A device-identifier constant required by discovery is unset.

Tuple Fields

§0: &'static str

A description of the missing identifier.

§

Gone(String)

Listed on the bus, but no longer there when it was opened.

Tuple Fields

§0: String

The discovery path that could not be found.

§

Hid(HidError)

Native HID enumeration or opening failed.

Tuple Fields

§0: HidError

The underlying HID error.

§

Io(Error)

A native channel or filesystem operation failed.

Tuple Fields

§0: Error

The underlying I/O error.

§

Usb(Error)

Native USB enumeration failed.

Tuple Fields

§0: Error

The underlying nusb error.

§

Serial(Error)

Serial-port enumeration or opening failed.

Tuple Fields

§0: Error

The underlying serial-port error.

§

SerialSysfsMissing

Linux serial enumeration cannot access /sys/class/tty.

§

Probe

The port opened, but the device did not answer as the expected type.

Fields

§device_type: DeviceType

The device type expected on the opened channel.

§source: HWIDeviceError

The failed protocol probe.
