The kind of failure an error reports, shared by every device.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

UserCancelled

The user declined on the device or dismissed a prompt.

§

AuthenticationRefused

The device’s login step failed without saying why.

§

HostUnavailable

The host could not get an answer from the user.

§

Locked

The device needs its PIN before it will answer.

§

NotReady

The device is reachable but not ready to run commands.

§

AlreadyUnlocked

A PIN step was requested but the device is already unlocked.

§

NotInitialized

The device has no wallet.

§

AlreadyInitialized

The device already has a wallet.

§

WrongPin

The PIN was wrong.

§

WrongNetwork

A key or address belongs to another network.

§

Duplicate

The item being created already exists on the device.

§

Unsupported

The device or firmware cannot run this command.

§

UnsupportedDisplayAddress

The device cannot display this address type.

§

MissingContext

The command needs data the caller did not supply.

§

InvalidInput

The caller’s data is malformed or was rejected as invalid.

§

Rejected

The device refused for a reason no other kind covers.

§

DeviceFailure

The device reported an internal failure.

§

Protocol

Host and device disagreed on the protocol.

§

UnexpectedResponse

A valid reply that is not the one expected.

§

Serialization

Bytes could not be encoded or decoded.

§

Encryption

Channel encryption or decryption failed.

§

Transport

I/O with the device or a helper service failed.
