What went wrong (a closed set). An unrecognized kind fails closed rather than degrading to a default.

Variants

TypeMismatch

A value is present but its wire type does not match the declared type.

MissingField

A required field is absent or null.

Overflow

A numeric value is outside the representable range of its declared type.
