RedisCache

Struct RedisCache

Source
pub struct RedisCache { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A Cache backed by a Redis server over a reconnecting async connection manager.

§Reconnect

The connection is recovered automatically — a Redis restart or a dropped socket needs no action from the caller — but the command that runs into the broken connection fails with a CacheError::ConnectionError, and the next one succeeds on a fresh connection. There is no background health-check thread: the manager only reconnects when a command finds the connection dead (with exponential backoff and jitter between attempts), so a caller that must not surface the break has to retry.

Implementations§

Source§

impl RedisCache

Source

pub async fn new(addr: &str) -> Result<Self, CacheError>

Create a cache by connecting to addr (e.g. "redis://127.0.0.1:6379").

Connects eagerly: a bad address fails here rather than on the first command.

Trait Implementations§

impl Cache for RedisCache

Source§

fn get<'life0, 'life1, 'async_trait>( &'life0 self, key: &'life1 str, ) -> Pin<Box<dyn Future<Output = Result<Option<Vec<u8>>, CacheError>> + Send + 'async_trait>>
where Self: 'async_trait, 'life0: 'async_trait, 'life1: 'async_trait,

Retrieve a value by key. Returns Ok(None) if not found or expired. Returns Err(...) on connection or deserialization errors.
Source§

fn set<'life0, 'life1, 'async_trait>( &'life0 self, key: &'life1 str, value: Vec<u8>, ttl: Option<u64>, ) -> Pin<Box<dyn Future<Output = Result<(), CacheError>> + Send + 'async_trait>>
where Self: 'async_trait, 'life0: 'async_trait, 'life1: 'async_trait,

Set a key-value pair with an optional TTL in seconds.
Source§

fn delete<'life0, 'life1, 'async_trait>( &'life0 self, key: &'life1 str, ) -> Pin<Box<dyn Future<Output = Result<(), CacheError>> + Send + 'async_trait>>
where Self: 'async_trait, 'life0: 'async_trait, 'life1: 'async_trait,

Delete a key. Returns Err(CacheError::NotFound) if the key does not exist.
Source§

fn incr<'life0, 'life1, 'async_trait>( &'life0 self, key: &'life1 str, ) -> Pin<Box<dyn Future<Output = Result<i64, CacheError>> + Send + 'async_trait>>
where Self: 'async_trait, 'life0: 'async_trait, 'life1: 'async_trait,

Increment a counter stored at key and return the new value. If the key does not exist, it is set to 0 before incrementing.
