FrozenBuffer

Struct FrozenBuffer

Source
pub struct FrozenBuffer { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

An immutable pool-backed chunk. Cloning or retaining a range shares its existing allocation; the final view returns the slot to the pool. Views keep the backing slab alive even after the pool is dropped, so parsers may choose to copy unusually long-lived fragments.

Implementations§

Source§

impl FrozenBuffer

Source

pub fn view(&self, range: impl RangeBounds<usize>) -> BufferSlice<Self>

Retain an independently owned range without copying payload bytes or allocating a reference-count wrapper.

Trait Implementations§

Source§

impl AsRef<[u8]> for FrozenBuffer

Source§

fn as_ref(&self) -> &[u8] ⓘ

Converts this type into a shared reference of the (usually inferred) input type.
Source§

impl Clone for FrozenBuffer

Source§

fn clone(&self) -> Self

Returns a duplicate of the value. Read more
1.0.0 (const: unstable) · Source§

fn clone_from(&mut self, source: &Self)

Performs copy-assignment from source. Read more
Source§

impl Debug for FrozenBuffer

Source§

fn fmt(&self, formatter: &mut Formatter<'_>) -> Result

Formats the value using the given formatter. Read more
Source§

impl Drop for FrozenBuffer

Source§

fn drop(&mut self)

Executes the destructor for this type. Read more
Source§

fn pin_drop(self: Pin<&mut Self>)

🔬This is a nightly-only experimental API. (pin_ergonomics)
Execute the destructor for this type, but different to Drop::drop, it requires self to be pinned. Read more
Source§

impl IoBuf for FrozenBuffer

Source§

fn slice(self, range: impl RangeBounds<usize>) -> BufferSlice<Self>
where Self: Sized,

Limit an operation to an owned range without copying its bytes. Panics if the range is outside the initialized buffer.
