pub enum DropsReference {
Los,
Target,
}Expand description
Which plane sampled drop values are referenced to (MBA-1403).
See BallisticInputs::drops_reference. This is an output-mode toggle for the
trajectory sampler, not new plane machinery: the solver implements incline as gravity
rotation into the shot frame, so sampled drop is already perpendicular to the LOS and
the JBM-equivalent “target” mode is a 1 / cos(shooting_angle) reference transform
plus relabeling.
Variants§
Los
Drop measured perpendicular to the line of sight (the historical default).
Target
Drop measured vertically in the target plane (JBM’s “target plane” reference):
the LOS-perpendicular drop scaled by 1 / cos(shooting_angle).
