pub struct BcEstimate {
pub bc: f64,
pub rms_error: f64,
pub drag_model: DragModel,
pub mode: BcFitMode,
pub at_bound: bool,
}Expand description
The result of a single BC fit (one drag model, one fit basis).
Fields§
§bc: f64The estimated ballistic coefficient.
rms_error: f64RMS residual across the data points, in fit units (meters of drop, or m/s of speed).
drag_model: DragModelWhich standard drag model this BC is referenced to.
mode: BcFitModeWhether the fit was against drop or velocity data.
at_bound: boolTrue if the best fit landed at the edge of the physical BC search range — i.e. the
data did not pin down an interior optimum (too sparse/short-range, or wrong units /
atmosphere / zero). The reported bc is then a floor/ceiling, not a real estimate.
