BdtEntry

Struct BdtEntry

Source
pub struct BdtEntry {
    pub address: SocketAddrV4,
    pub mask: Ipv4Addr,
}
Expand description

One row of a broadcast distribution table: a BBMD’s B/IP address and the broadcast distribution mask that says how to reach its subnet (Annex J.2.2.1, J.4.3.2).

A mask of all ones sends forwarded broadcasts to the BBMD itself (two-hop); the subnet’s own mask sends them to its directed broadcast address (one-hop).

Fields§

§address: SocketAddrV4

The BBMD’s B/IP address.

§mask: Ipv4Addr

The broadcast distribution mask.

Implementations§

Source§

impl BdtEntry

Source

pub const fn new(address: SocketAddrV4, mask: Ipv4Addr) -> Self

Construct an entry.

Source

pub const fn to_octets(self) -> [u8; 10]

The entry’s ten wire octets: address, then mask.

Source

pub const fn from_octets(octets: [u8; 10]) -> Self

The entry ten wire octets hold.
