Expand description

The verdict plus the evidence behind it.

Fields (Non-exhaustive)§

This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.
§kind: Interference

The verdict.

§penetrating_pairs: Vec<(usize, usize)>

Triangle-index pairs that meet transversally.

§touching_pairs: Vec<(usize, usize)>

Triangle-index pairs in non-transverse contact.

§narrow_phase_tests: usize

Triangle pairs whose boxes overlapped and were tested exactly.

§broad_phase_rejections: usize

Triangle pairs the broad phase rejected without an exact test.

§degenerate_skips: usize

Pairs skipped because a triangle was degenerate. A caller measuring clearance must know its input was not fully testable.

§containment: bool

Whether a vertex of one solid was found strictly inside the other.

Two boxes overlapping face-to-face cross only edge-to-edge, so the triangle predicate reports contact and never Proper. Shared volume is therefore decided by containment, not by surface topology alone.
