Struct Patch

Source
pub struct Patch {
    pub u_start: Scalar,
    pub u_end: Scalar,
    pub v_start: Scalar,
    pub v_end: Scalar,
}
Expand description

A finite parameter rectangle for tessellation.

Elementary surfaces are infinite (a plane, a cylinder) or only periodic in one direction, so a caller must say which patch it wants. Returning a default would invent geometry the source never declared.

Fields§

§u_start: Scalar

Start of the u interval.

§u_end: Scalar

End of the u interval.

§v_start: Scalar

Start of the v interval.

§v_end: Scalar

End of the v interval.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Patch

Source

pub fn new( u_start: Scalar, u_end: Scalar, v_start: Scalar, v_end: Scalar, ) -> GeomResult<Self>

Construct a patch, rejecting an empty or non-finite rectangle.

Source

pub fn full_turn(v_start: Scalar, v_end: Scalar) -> GeomResult<Self>

The full closed patch for a family that is periodic in u.
