pub struct DriverSpawner { /* private fields */ }default-client only.Expand description
Runtime placement for one partition’s connection-owned work.
Protocol drivers, establishment completion, deferred HTTP/1 readiness, and idle maintenance for a partition run through its spawner, even when another partition dispatches on one of its connections. The underlying I/O never moves to the requesting runtime.
A spawner is placement, not runtime ownership. It does not keep the runtime alive and does not participate in shutdown. When the owning runtime drops spawned work, the pool observes that through the connection’s own close path.
Callers on Tokio use DriverSpawner::tokio with the handle of the runtime
that should own the partition’s connections.
Implementations§
Source§impl DriverSpawner
impl DriverSpawner
Sourcepub fn tokio(handle: Handle) -> Self
Available on crate feature rt-tokio only.
pub fn tokio(handle: Handle) -> Self
rt-tokio only.Places connection-owned work on a specific Tokio runtime.
Work is spawned on handle regardless of which thread invokes the
pool. Pass tokio::runtime::Handle::current() to use the runtime that
is constructing the partition.
Sourcepub fn from_fn<F>(spawn: F) -> Self
pub fn from_fn<F>(spawn: F) -> Self
Places connection-owned work through a caller-provided spawn function.
Each call transfers ownership of a connection-owned task. The callback must submit it to the runtime this partition represents and return promptly. Calls may arrive concurrently from different threads.
Tasks must make progress while that runtime is running. Dropping a task during shutdown follows the pool’s existing connection-close behavior. The callback returns neither a join handle nor a submission error. Runtime ownership and shutdown remain the caller’s responsibility.

Source§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};

builder methods like on_red() and

are pithier.
§Example

fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr():
use yansi::{Paint, Attribute};

Enables the yansi Quirk value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use quirk-specific

wrap(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);Enable wrapping using wrap().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();Source§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>

Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);
