Client for Amazon Simple Queue Service
Client for invoking operations on Amazon Simple Queue Service. Each operation on Amazon Simple Queue Service is a method on this
this struct. .send() MUST be invoked on the generated operations to dispatch the request to the service.
Constructing a Client
A Config is required to construct a client. For most use cases, the aws-config
crate should be used to automatically resolve this config using
aws_config::load_from_env(), since this will resolve an SdkConfig which can be shared
across multiple different AWS SDK clients. This config resolution process can be customized
by calling aws_config::from_env() instead, which returns a ConfigLoader that uses
the builder pattern to customize the default config.
In the simplest case, creating a client looks as follows:

is absent from SdkConfig, or slightly different settings for a specific client may be desired.
The Config struct implements From<&SdkConfig>, so setting these specific settings can be

Note: Client construction is expensive due to connection thread pool initialization, and should be done once at application start-up.
Using the Client
A client has a function for every operation that can be performed by the service.
For example, the AddPermission operation has
a Client::add_permission, function which returns a builder for that operation.
The fluent builder ultimately has a call() function that returns an async future that
returns a result, as illustrated below:

The following lists the names, descriptions, and values of the special request parameters that the
CreateQueueaction uses:-
DelaySeconds– The length of time, in seconds, for which the delivery of all messages in the queue is delayed. Valid values: An integer from 0 to 900 seconds (15 minutes). Default: 0. -
MaximumMessageSize– The limit of how many bytes a message can contain before Amazon SQS rejects it. Valid values: An integer from 1,024 bytes (1 KiB) to 262,144 bytes (256 KiB). Default: 262,144 (256 KiB). -
MessageRetentionPeriod– The length of time, in seconds, for which Amazon SQS retains a message. Valid values: An integer from 60 seconds (1 minute) to 1,209,600 seconds (14 days). Default: 345,600 (4 days). -

ReceiveMessageWaitTimeSeconds– The length of time, in seconds, for which aaction waits for a message to arrive. Valid values: An integer from 0 to 20 (seconds). Default: 0.ReceiveMessage -
RedrivePolicy– The string that includes the parameters for the dead-letter queue functionality of the source queue as a JSON object. For more information about the redrive policy and dead-letter queues, see Using Amazon SQS Dead-Letter Queues in the Amazon SQS Developer Guide.-
deadLetterTargetArn– The Amazon Resource Name (ARN) of the dead-letter queue to which Amazon SQS moves messages after the value ofmaxReceiveCountis exceeded. -
maxReceiveCount– The number of times a message is delivered to the source queue before being moved to the dead-letter queue. When theReceiveCountfor a message exceeds themaxReceiveCountfor a queue, Amazon SQS moves the message to the dead-letter-queue.
The dead-letter queue of a FIFO queue must also be a FIFO queue. Similarly, the dead-letter queue of a standard queue must also be a standard queue.

VisibilityTimeout– The visibility timeout for the queue, in seconds. Valid values: An integer from 0 to 43,200 (12 hours). Default: 30. For more information about the visibility timeout, see Visibility Timeout in the Amazon SQS Developer Guide.
The following attributes apply only to server-side-encryption:

KmsMasterKeyId– The ID of an Amazon Web Services managed customer master key (CMK) for Amazon SQS or a custom CMK. For more information, see Key Terms. While the alias of the Amazon Web Services managed CMK for Amazon SQS is alwaysalias/aws/sqs, the alias of a custom CMK can, for example, bealias/MyAlias. For more examples, see KeyId in the Key Management Service API Reference. -
KmsDataKeyReusePeriodSeconds– The length of time, in seconds, for which Amazon SQS can reuse a data key to encrypt or decrypt messages before calling KMS again. An integer representing seconds, between 60 seconds (1 minute) and 86,400 seconds (24 hours). Default: 300 (5 minutes). A shorter time period provides better security but results in more calls to KMS which might incur charges after Free Tier. For more information, see How Does the Data Key Reuse Period Work?. -
SqsManagedSseEnabled– Enables server-side queue encryption using SQS owned encryption keys. Only one server-side encryption option is supported per queue (e.g. SSE-KMS or SSE-SQS).
The following attributes apply only to FIFO (first-in-first-out) queues:

FifoQueue– Designates a queue as FIFO. Valid values aretrueandfalse. If you don’t specify theFifoQueueattribute, Amazon SQS creates a standard queue. You can provide this attribute only during queue creation. You can’t change it for an existing queue. When you set this attribute, you must also provide theMessageGroupIdfor your messages explicitly.For more information, see FIFO queue logic in the Amazon SQS Developer Guide.

ContentBasedDeduplication– Enables content-based deduplication. Valid values aretrueandfalse. For more information, see Exactly-once processing in the Amazon SQS Developer Guide. Note the following:-
Every message must have a unique
MessageDeduplicationId.-
You may provide a
MessageDeduplicationIdexplicitly. -
If you aren’t able to provide a
MessageDeduplicationIdand you enableContentBasedDeduplicationfor your queue, Amazon SQS uses a SHA-256 hash to generate theMessageDeduplicationIdusing the body of the message (but not the attributes of the message). -
If you don’t provide a
MessageDeduplicationIdand the queue doesn’t haveContentBasedDeduplicationset, the action fails with an error. -
If the queue has
ContentBasedDeduplicationset, yourMessageDeduplicationIdoverrides the generated one.

When
ContentBasedDeduplicationis in effect, messages with identical content sent within the deduplication interval are treated as duplicates and only one copy of the message is delivered. -
If you send one message with
ContentBasedDeduplicationenabled and then another message with aMessageDeduplicationIdthat is the same as the one generated for the firstMessageDeduplicationId, the two messages are treated as duplicates and only one copy of the message is delivered.

During a visibility timeout, subsequent calls with the same

ReceiveMessageaction still processes messages when the visibility timeout expires and messages become visible, another worker consuming from the same queue can receive the same messages and therefore process duplicates.
