Struct aws_sdk_elastictranscoder::Client
source · pub struct Client { /* private fields */ }Expand description
Client for Amazon Elastic Transcoder
Client for invoking operations on Amazon Elastic Transcoder. Each operation on Amazon Elastic Transcoder is a method on this
this struct. .send() MUST be invoked on the generated operations to dispatch the request to the service.
§Constructing a Client
A Config is required to construct a client. For most use cases, the aws-config
crate should be used to automatically resolve this config using
aws_config::load_from_env(), since this will resolve an SdkConfig which can be shared
across multiple different AWS SDK clients. This config resolution process can be customized
by calling aws_config::from_env() instead, which returns a ConfigLoader that uses
the builder pattern to customize the default config.
In the simplest case, creating a client looks as follows:
let config = aws_config::load_from_env().await;
let client = aws_sdk_elastictranscoder::Client::new(&config);Occasionally, SDKs may have additional service-specific values that can be set on the Config that
is absent from SdkConfig, or slightly different settings for a specific client may be desired.
The Config struct implements From<&SdkConfig>, so setting these specific settings can be
done as follows:
let sdk_config = ::aws_config::load_from_env().await;
let config = aws_sdk_elastictranscoder::config::Builder::from(&sdk_config)
    .some_service_specific_setting("value")
    .build();See the aws-config docs and Config for more information on customizing configuration.
Note: Client construction is expensive due to connection thread pool initialization, and should be done once at application start-up.
§Using the Client
A client has a function for every operation that can be performed by the service.
For example, the CancelJob operation has
a Client::cancel_job, function which returns a builder for that operation.
The fluent builder ultimately has a send() function that returns an async future that
returns a result, as illustrated below:
let result = client.cancel_job()
    .id("example")
    .send()
    .await;The underlying HTTP requests that get made by this can be modified with the customize_operation
function on the fluent builder. See the customize module for more
information.
Implementations§
source§impl Client

impl Client
sourcepub fn cancel_job(&self) -> CancelJobFluentBuilder

pub fn cancel_job(&self) -> CancelJobFluentBuilder
Constructs a fluent builder for the CancelJob operation.
- The fluent builder is configurable:
- id(impl Into<String>)/- set_id(Option<String>):
 required: true- The identifier of the job that you want to cancel. - To get a list of the jobs (including their - jobId) that have a status of- Submitted, use the- ListJobsByStatusAPI action.

- On success, responds with CancelJobOutput
- On failure, responds with SdkError<CancelJobError>
source§impl Client

impl Client
sourcepub fn create_job(&self) -> CreateJobFluentBuilder

pub fn create_job(&self) -> CreateJobFluentBuilder
Constructs a fluent builder for the CreateJob operation.
- The fluent builder is configurable:
- pipeline_id(impl Into<String>)/- set_pipeline_id(Option<String>):
 required: true- The - Idof the pipeline that you want Elastic Transcoder to use for transcoding. The pipeline determines several settings, including the Amazon S3 bucket from which Elastic Transcoder gets the files to transcode and the bucket into which Elastic Transcoder puts the transcoded files.
- input(JobInput)/- set_input(Option<JobInput>):
 required: false- A section of the request body that provides information about the file that is being transcoded.
- inputs(JobInput)/- set_inputs(Option<Vec::<JobInput>>):
 required: false- A section of the request body that provides information about the files that are being transcoded.
- output(CreateJobOutput)/- set_output(Option<CreateJobOutput>):
 required: false- A section of the request body that provides information about the transcoded (target) file. We strongly recommend that you use the - Outputssyntax instead of the- Outputsyntax.
- outputs(CreateJobOutput)/- set_outputs(Option<Vec::<CreateJobOutput>>):
 required: false- A section of the request body that provides information about the transcoded (target) files. We recommend that you use the - Outputssyntax instead of the- Outputsyntax.
- output_key_prefix(impl Into<String>)/- set_output_key_prefix(Option<String>):
 required: false- The value, if any, that you want Elastic Transcoder to prepend to the names of all files that this job creates, including output files, thumbnails, and playlists.
- playlists(CreateJobPlaylist)/- set_playlists(Option<Vec::<CreateJobPlaylist>>):
 required: false- If you specify a preset in - PresetIdfor which the value of- Containeris fmp4 (Fragmented MP4) or ts (MPEG-TS), Playlists contains information about the master playlists that you want Elastic Transcoder to create.- The maximum number of master playlists in a job is 30.
- user_metadata(impl Into<String>, impl Into<String>)/- set_user_metadata(Option<HashMap::<String, String>>):
 required: false- User-defined metadata that you want to associate with an Elastic Transcoder job. You specify metadata in - key/valuepairs, and you can add up to 10- key/valuepairs per job. Elastic Transcoder does not guarantee that- key/valuepairs are returned in the same order in which you specify them.

- On success, responds with CreateJobOutputwith field(s):- job(Option<Job>):- A section of the response body that provides information about the job that is created.

- On failure, responds with SdkError<CreateJobError>
source§impl Client

- You do not want to specify the users or groups who have access to the transcoded files, thumbnails, and playlists.
- You do not want to specify the permissions that Elastic Transcoder grants to the files. When Elastic Transcoder saves files in OutputBucket, it grants full control over the files only to the AWS account that owns the role that is specified byRole.
- You want to associate the transcoded files and thumbnails with the Amazon S3 Standard storage class.
 - If you want to save transcoded files and playlists in one bucket and thumbnails in another bucket, specify which users can access the transcoded files or the permissions the users have, or change the Amazon S3 storage class, omit - OutputBucketand specify values for- ContentConfigand- ThumbnailConfiginstead.

For more information about using CloudFront origin access identities to require that users use CloudFront URLs instead of Amazon S3 URLs, see Using an Origin Access Identity to Restrict Access to Your Amazon S3 Content.A canonical user ID is not the same as an AWS account number.
- Email: The value in the Granteeobject is the registered email address of an AWS account.
- Group: The value in the Granteeobject is one of the following predefined Amazon S3 groups:AllUsers,AuthenticatedUsers, orLogDelivery.

- Grantee: The AWS user or group that you want to have access to transcoded files and playlists. To identify the user or group, you can specify the canonical user ID for an AWS account, an origin access identity for a CloudFront distribution, the registered email address of an AWS account, or a predefined Amazon S3 group
- Access: The permission that you want to give to the AWS user that you specified in Grantee. Permissions are granted on the files that Elastic Transcoder adds to the bucket, including playlists and video files. Valid values include:- READ: The grantee can read the objects and metadata for objects that Elastic Transcoder adds to the Amazon S3 bucket.
- READ_ACP: The grantee can read the object ACL for objects that Elastic Transcoder adds to the Amazon S3 bucket.
- WRITE_ACP: The grantee can write the ACL for the objects that Elastic Transcoder adds to the Amazon S3 bucket.
- FULL_CONTROL: The grantee hasREAD,READ_ACP, andWRITE_ACPpermissions for the objects that Elastic Transcoder adds to the Amazon S3 bucket.

- On success, responds with UpdatePipelineOutputwith field(s):- pipeline(Option<Pipeline>):- The pipeline updated by this - UpdatePipelineResponsecall.
- warnings(Option<Vec::<Warning>>):- Elastic Transcoder returns a warning if the resources used by your pipeline are not in the same region as the pipeline. - Using resources in the same region, such as your Amazon S3 buckets, Amazon SNS notification topics, and AWS KMS key, reduces processing time and prevents cross-regional charges.

- On failure, responds with SdkError<UpdatePipelineError>
