pub struct LedgerPin {
pub head: Option<LedgerHead>,
pub high_water: Option<LedgerHighWater>,
}Expand description
A record’s chain head and high-water mark, read together (issue #2323).
The two are what an audit posture pins outside the database, and they are
only meaningful as a pair: the head hash is what a rewritten chain
disagrees with, and the mark is what proves no revision is missing from the
end. Reading them with two separate calls lets an ordinary append land in
between, so an auditor can hold a head at sequence N beside a mark at
N+1 and read a concurrent write as a truncation. This type exists so the
pair always comes from one statement, and one snapshot.
Either field is None for a record that has neither — one never written,
or one predating the day its model was ledgered. A high_water of None
beside a Some head is the state
LedgerBreak::HighWaterMissing reports; this type does not judge, it
reports what is stored.
Fields§
§head: Option<LedgerHead>The newest revision’s sequence number and hash.
high_water: Option<LedgerHighWater>The out-of-band high-water mark.
