Settings for one downstream gRPC service ([grpc.clients.<name>]). Needs the client feature.

Fields (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.

endpoint: String

http://host:port or https://host:port, with no path. Empty is an error at boot, unless a test double serves the client.

timeout_ms: u64

Longest time for one call. The client sends the smallest of this value, the time left on the incoming request and the caller’s timeout as grpc-timeout. 0: off. Default: 10000.

connect_timeout_ms: u64

Longest time to open a connection. Must be more than 0. Default: 5000.

tls: ClientTls

TLS for an https endpoint. Needs the tls feature.
