#[repr(C)]pub struct WangHash {
pub hash: u32,
pub t_anchor: u32,
}Expand description
One anchor-target landmark pair packed into a 32-bit hash.
The type is #[repr(C)] and implements bytemuck::Pod, so it can be
safely cast to/from &[u8] for zero-copy persistence (mmap, flat files)
or transmitted across a C FFI boundary. Layout is two native-endian
u32 fields: hash followed by t_anchor (8 bytes total, no padding).
§Hash bit layout (MSB → LSB)
| Bits | Field | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 31 – 23 | f_a_q | Anchor frequency (9 bits, 512-bucket quantised) |
| 22 – 14 | f_b_q | Target frequency (same quantisation) |
| 13 – 0 | Δt | Frame distance anchor→target (1 ..= 16 383) |
Decode with shifts: let f_a = hash >> 23; let f_b = (hash >> 14) & 0x1FF;
Fields§
§hash: u3232-bit hash: f_a_q (9) | f_b_q (9) | Δt (14), MSB first.
t_anchor: u32STFT frame index of the anchor peak (0-based, monotonically increasing within a fingerprint).
