Struct Snapshot

Source
pub struct Snapshot<T> { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Lock-light snapshot container.

Implementations§

Source§

impl<T> Snapshot<T>

Source

pub fn new(value: T) -> Self

Source

pub fn load(&self) -> Arc<T>

Cheap clone of the current snapshot. Holds the read lock only long enough to clone the Arc.

Source

pub fn store(&self, value: T)

Replace the snapshot wholesale. Existing readers keep their old Arc until they drop it.

Source

pub fn rcu<F>(&self, f: F)
where F: FnOnce(&T) -> T,

Compute a new value from the current and store it. Equivalent to store(f(load())) but holds the write lock for the whole duration so readers see a consistent transition.
