pub enum PatchOrigin {
Creation,
Change,
Unknown,
}Expand description
Whether a patch creates its entity, as far as its source says.
Every patch carries only the fields that changed. For a key a view holds that is all it needs; for one it does not hold, the patch is the entity only if it created it.
Variants§
Creation
The source marked the patch as its entity’s creation
(arete_interpreter::WholeEntity::Created), so it is all of the
entity.
Change
The source marks every creation and did not mark this patch, so it
changes an entity created earlier and is only part of it. A VM linked
through crate::EntityResync is such a source.
Unknown
The source does not mark creations. A patch for a key the view does not hold is taken for a new entity unless the view remembers evicting it.
