Paths to TOON config directories for dynamic behavioral configuration

ARES uses a hybrid configuration approach:

  • TOML (ares.toml): Static infrastructure config (server, auth, database, providers)
  • TOON (config/*.toon): Dynamic behavioral config (agents, workflows, models, tools, MCPs)

Fields§

§agents_dir: PathBuf

Directory containing agent TOON files

§workflows_dir: PathBuf

Directory containing workflow TOON files

§models_dir: PathBuf

Directory containing model TOON files

§tools_dir: PathBuf

Directory containing tool TOON files

§mcps_dir: PathBuf

Directory containing MCP TOON files

§hot_reload: bool

Whether to watch for changes and hot-reload TOON configs

§watch_interval_ms: u64

Interval in milliseconds for checking config changes
