EnvelopeSealError

Enum EnvelopeSealError

Source
pub enum EnvelopeSealError {
    Absent,
    WireUndeclared(String),
    Refused(AphError),
}
Expand description

Why an envelope-level unseal can fail — three DIFFERENT kinds of failure with three different repairs, kept as distinct as the codes that carry two of them.

Variants§

§

Absent

The envelope carries no sealedPayload. Not a refusal: an unsealed envelope is an ordinary envelope, and the caller decides whether it expected one.

§

WireUndeclared(String)

The wire-version rule refused: sealedPayload on an aphVersion that does not declare it. Strict-parse CLASS — a plain message below the protocol’s code vocabulary, per the same reasoning as an unrecognized closed-set value.

§

Refused(AphError)

A protocol refusal with its 0.2 code: APH_E021 (the seal addressed to this verifier did not open) or APH_E022 (unknown suite). Per RFC 0008 §4 the caller MUST refuse the ENVELOPE.
