SealedPayload

Struct SealedPayload

Source
pub struct SealedPayload {
    pub suite: String,
    pub reader: SealedReader,
    pub enc: String,
    pub ciphertext: String,
}
Expand description

A payload the envelope authorizes but only SealedReader can read (spec/aph-0.2.md §1, RFC 0008): verification and readership as independent capabilities. Every hop runs §8.3 in full — the signature covers this ciphertext, bodySha256 MAY bind its raw decoded octets — and none but the reader learns the plaintext.

The cryptography lives in the aph-sealed crate (RFC 9180 HPKE, one pinned suite, context-authenticated AAD); this type is the WIRE shape alone, so the core keeps its dependency discipline.

Fields§

§suite: String

The pinned ciphersuite identifier (APH-SEAL-1 today). Closed-set discipline for ciphersuites: an opener refuses a value it does not compile (APH_E022).

§reader: SealedReader

Who can open it.

§enc: String

base64url (unpadded): the HPKE encapsulated key.

§ciphertext: String

base64url (unpadded): AEAD ciphertext, tag included.
