StatusCheck

Enum StatusCheck

Source
pub enum StatusCheck {
    Skipped,
    NotRevoked,
}
Expand description

The two non-refusing outcomes of §6.3.3.4. The third outcome — revoked — is an APH_E015 error, not a value, because a verifier that could hold “revoked” as a success value could forget to act on it.

Variants§

§

Skipped

§6.3.3.4 case 1 — the envelope carried no credentialStatus, so no claim was offered and none was checked. NOT the same as “not revoked”.

§

NotRevoked

§6.3.3.4 case 3, negative — the bit at statusListIndex was 0 in a document whose proof this crate did NOT check.

⛔ The qualifier is part of the value, not a footnote, because this is the exact variant a caller branches on to ADMIT an envelope. §6.3.3.3’s proof check is the only thing standing between “a bit was clear” and “the notary says this mandate is live”: same-origin deliberately permits a DIFFERENT PATH (§6.3.3.2), so any writable path on the notary’s origin can serve a forged list that satisfies same-origin and writes the notary’s DID into its own issuer. Verifying the proof is the caller’s step for the reasons in the module preamble; until it has run, NotRevoked means only that the document the caller was handed said so. check_envelope_status carries the obligation in full.
