Configuration for retry behavior.

Marked #[non_exhaustive] (issue #24) so future spec extensions can add fields without breaking downstream struct-literal construction. Construct via ..Default::default() or a builder pattern.

Fields (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.

max_retries: u32

strategy: String

Backoff strategy: “exponential” or “fixed”.

base_delay_ms: u64

Base delay in milliseconds.

max_delay_ms: u64

Maximum delay in milliseconds (cap for exponential backoff).

jitter: bool

Whether to add random jitter to delays.
