InterventionalDistributionQuery

Struct InterventionalDistributionQuery

Source
pub struct InterventionalDistributionQuery {
    pub outcomes: Arc<[VariableId]>,
    pub interventions: Arc<[Intervention]>,
    pub conditioning: Arc<[VariableId]>,
    pub target_population: TargetPopulation,
}
Expand description

Interventional distribution query P(Y | do(…), Z).

Distinct from ChangeAttributionQuery (population/period change attribution). Identify via ID (empty conditioning) or IDC (nonempty conditioning); GCM sampling remains available via sample_interventional_distribution.

Fields§

§outcomes: Arc<[VariableId]>

Outcome variable(s) whose interventional distribution is requested.

§interventions: Arc<[Intervention]>

Interventions defining the do(...) world.

§conditioning: Arc<[VariableId]>

Observational conditioning set Z for P(Y | do(X), Z) (empty = unconditional).

§target_population: TargetPopulation

Target population.

Implementations§

Source§

impl InterventionalDistributionQuery

Source

pub fn new( outcome: VariableId, interventions: impl Into<Arc<[Intervention]>>, ) -> Self

Single-outcome interventional distribution under the given interventions.

Source

pub fn with_outcomes(self, outcomes: impl Into<Arc<[VariableId]>>) -> Self

Multiple outcomes.

Source

pub fn with_conditioning( self, conditioning: impl Into<Arc<[VariableId]>>, ) -> Self

Observational conditioning set for IDC (P(Y | do(X), Z)).

Source

pub fn with_target_population(self, population: TargetPopulation) -> Self

Set target population.

Source

pub fn validate(&self) -> Result<(), QueryError>

Validate outcomes, interventions, and conditioning.

§Errors

Empty outcomes, invalid interventions, or conditioning overlap.
