Variants

Rollback

Roll back reversible state (delete the run’s release tags, revert the version-bump commit) so the version can be re-cut. Degrades to Hold when any one-way-door publisher already landed.

Hold

Leave everything in place for forensics; exit nonzero with a pointer at release --rollback-only --from-run=<id>.
