Expand description

What the ledger says, aggregated. Everything a reader displays comes through here; nobody re-parses the file.

Fields§

§total: usize

Events on record (a floor after compaction).

§would_block: usize

Of those, the ones that would have blocked but for an override.

§commits: usize

DISTINCT commits those events happened against.

Not the same fact as total, and the difference is the one a reader most needs: forty commits each tripping a check once is a check the team disagrees with, while one commit tripping it forty times is one person losing an afternoon to it. Counting only events conflates them.

§first: Option<u64>

The oldest event’s epoch — “since when” for the report.

§last: Option<u64>

The newest event’s epoch, if any.

§by_check: Vec<CheckCount>

Count descending, then check ascending — a stable order a golden render can pin.
