What the codec parameters of a video stream no FFmpeg encoder produced say: the fields an encoder’s avcodec_parameters_from_context would fill in for it.

Fields§

§codec_id: AVCodecID

The codec.

§width: i32

Coded width.

§height: i32

Coded height.

§pixel_format: AVPixelFormat

The pixel format the stream decodes to.

§profile: i32

AV_PROFILE_* for the codec.

§level: i32

The codec’s level number.

§color_primaries: AVColorPrimaries

Colour primaries tag.

§color_trc: AVColorTransferCharacteristic

Transfer characteristics tag.

§color_space: AVColorSpace

Matrix coefficients tag.

§color_range: AVColorRange

Sample range.

§sample_aspect_ratio: AVRational

Pixel aspect ratio; 0/1 when undeclared.

§frame_rate: AVRational

Frames per second.

§bit_rate: i64

Average bitrate, 0 when unknown.

§extradata: &'a [u8]

The sample description (avcC for H.264).
