BatchRequest

Struct BatchRequest

Source
pub struct BatchRequest<'a> { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A batch JSON-RPC request, used to bundle requests into a single transport call.

Calls are serialized when they are added. Sending the batch is still lazy: Self::send returns a future, and the transport is not called until that future is polled. Await the batch before awaiting its Waiters.

Responses are matched to waiters by JSON-RPC ID, not response order. Missing IDs produce a per-waiter error; responses with unknown IDs are ignored.

Implementations§

Source§

impl<'a> BatchRequest<'a>

Source

pub fn new(transport: &'a RpcClientInner) -> Self

Create a new batch request.

Source

pub fn add_call<Params: RpcSend, Resp: RpcRecv>( &mut self, method: impl Into<Cow<'static, str>>, params: &Params, ) -> TransportResult<Waiter<Resp>>

Add a call to the batch.

Unlike RpcCall, this serializes the parameters immediately so calls with different parameter types can share a batch.

§Errors

If the request cannot be serialized, this will return an error.

Source

pub fn send(self) -> BatchFuture

Return a future that sends the batch when polled.

This method alone does not dispatch anything; await the returned future.

Layout§

Note: Most layout information is completely unstable and may even differ between compilations. The only exception is types with certain repr(...) attributes. Please see the Rust Reference's “Type Layout” chapter for details on type layout guarantees.
